How to organize parties, be in state and always smile
I was standing on stage for the last time in 91st, it was the Column Hall of the House of Unions, and I performed a song about the robot. I did not ever have any party at all. In short, I think it’s clear what feelings I felt when the day before the event began to look at YouTube lessons on public speaking and write text. Here are some of the most common tips of the various gurus that I found:
1. Know your text – it repeats with an enviable constancy in absolutely every video on the topic, that’s why I started writing a speech.
The best improvisation is a well-prepared improvisation!
2. Start with a joke – so it will be easier to immediately attract the attention of the crowd and interest her in what you say
3. Do not talk for a long time – otherwise people will get tired of listening to you and go. Speakers with experience are able to better keep the crowd, so this rule does not apply to them, though the attention of the crowd is not rubber.
4. Charge all with your energy and positive – no comments
Honestly, all this sounds easy and simple, but in life I have caused some difficulties. For example, picking up a microphone, I instantly forgot my text and for a moment just walked, smiling, on the stage.
Interestingly, everyone always says – the excitement before the performance, the excitement before the performance … here Miami generally offered me a drink in front of him and smoke a cigarette to calm down, and I somehow did not particularly bathe. Only here in the first minute on the stage caught. Maybe I’m insensitive somehow?
It was easy to smile, as host of the evening I just could not not do it! In addition, I realized why suddenly, at the most crucial moments of the show, the leading ones are getting off the topic and suddenly start to carry crap: they are wasting time. This is especially acute when the competition is over, the winners are chosen, and no one has even been scratched to the prize in the hall. I advise you to take care of this in advance!
The schedule of the party was broken (the first DJ was already late for an hour!) And therefore the event was redrawn on the move, as a result of which the most vulgar contest was put in the beginning. It’s no wonder that after that the people were already much less willing to go on stage!
Hint: start with innocent contests, as the crowd will be pumped up with alcohol, they will roll and more vulgar. In general, some vulgarity in contests is not only permissible, but also necessary – after all, as is known from psychology, people best remember what is associated with sex, violence and suchlike things. Since violence at a party is inappropriate (unless it’s a sadomasochistic party, of course), competitions should be moderately vulgar.
Even after the party, I came up with the idea: I smile at the guests (almost all of whom I see for the first time), flirting with them, joking, trying to raise their spirits – this is my show! So why do not I do this all the time in my life? It’s just my show! Do you understand what I mean?
Do not forget to smile!
